The Director's Monitor Cage v2 (Battery Plate Clamp Only) is a 15mm clamp designed to hold the Director's Monitor Cage v3 (Battery Plate Only) on the Director's Monitor Cage v3 (Rod Only).
The M4 thumbscrew allows for quick vertical height adjustment and provides a swing away function to access the back of the monitor or other installed devices such as wireless receivers.
