The Wedge sets the camera's battery plate perpendicular to the camera, allowing the Wooden Camera D-Box®, the Anton Bauer Gold Mount Plus Plate, and Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K/17K Battery Plates to mount additional accessories in line with your camera setup. This becomes important when the battery plates have cradles attached or other accessories that extend the camera's length towards the back.
This wedge mounts directly to the back of the camera. In addition, ¼”-20 and ⅜”-16 mounting points are added to the top of the wedge enabling additional options for mounting accessories to the build. The design of the wedge accents the camera's body design.
